Jason McKinnon was born in Rimbey, Alberta in 1974. He graduated from Stathmore High School in 1992. In 1992 he went to Mount Royal College where he completed the General Insurance and Business Administration co-operative education diploma program. Jason has worked in the financial services industry since 1993. He obtained his Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation in 1998. He and his wife Carlynn live in the Somerset area of Calgary with their son Christian and daughter Kaley.
